The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) have collaborated on the joint report titled Greening Digital Companies 2025: Monitoring emissions and climate commitments. This report, now in its fourth edition, examines the emissions and energy usage of 200 leading tech companies worldwide.

The report was launched during a webinar organized by ITU and WBA on 5 June 2025 in the morning, coinciding with the celebration of World Environment Day. This webinar featured discussions on key findings of the report and feature insights from companies, civil society, and other international organizations on the progress, challenges, and opportunities for digital sustainability. A second webinar followed in the afternoon.
